According to Browser Market Share data from Net Applications for February 2010, Google Chrome saw 0.41% gain with 5.61% market share. Microsoft Internet Explorer continues to lead the category with 61.58%, while Firefox commands 24.23% share. Compared to January 2010, IE, Firefox and Safari lost market share, while Chrome, Netscape and Other browsers saw a slight increase in share.
In November 2009, Firefox captured - for the first time - more than 25% of the browser market. With the introduction of Apple's iPad tablet and Android-based Netbook computers, both Safari and Chrome are expected to increase their market share.
